How to get your free download?

All craft downloads are available FREE to Ultimate Dog Diva subscribers. Just use the PROMO CODE at the bottom of the paw painting article located in the Dog Divas app, to download and print! (options will vary each month). It's that simple! We recommend printing on cardstock for a more sturdy painting, however you can print on any paper you prefer. The paintings will print 2 to a page, so if you have two dogs, pawesome, or think of it as a backup in case the first one doesn't go well!

Then just follow the directions below to complete your pawtistry!

Supplies Required

• Cardstock
• Printer
• Children's Acrylic Paint (colors specified below for each template)
• Paintbrush or Paper Plate (depending on method of choice)
• Paper Towels and/or Baby Wipes
• Clipboard
• Scissors
• Assorted Markers

How to Do a Paw Painting

1. Print your paw painting template onto the cardstock and place onto clipboard face up.
2. Make sure your dog's paw that you plan to use is clean, and hair is trimmed.
3. Place all of your materials in a place that is easy to clean and very close to you and your dog.
4. Open paint and use one of the following two methods, depending on your dog's level of comfort:
   1. Use a paintbrush to apply paint to only the paw pads on your dog's foot. It will be easier if you have a second person to hold them while you apply the paint. This method will give you the most accurate and clear paw painting.
   2. Use a paper plate and pour paint onto it. Take your dog's paw and carefully tap into paint until all pads are covered.
5. Still holding onto your dogs paw, grab the clipboard with your other hand and apply light pressure to ensure contact of each paw with the paper.
6. Follow the directions for each specific template below to finish your painting.
7. Add your dog's name and place on the fridge for everyone to see what a pawesome pawtist they are!

Holiday Paw Painting Directions:

• Santa's Bag: Use any color of your choice to fill in the presents with a paw print!
• Xmas Tree: Use red, blue or yellow (or all three if you feel ambitious!) paint to add ornaments to the tree!
• Rudolph (best for big dogs): Use red paint to fill in Rudolph's nose with one or a few paw prints!
